New capacities for a dynamic market.

There has been a great change in the face of the market over the past few years. New national and international natural gas suppliers have appeared on the scene and are competing for one of the most densely populated urban areas in Europe. In order to make our transmission system more flexible for changing markets we want to provide additional transport capacities and are thus planning to extend our line system by a new and high-capacity natural gas line. The needs and requirements of our customers are crucial for the design of this transmission line.

The new pipeline will make our network more flexible and promotes competition. The market area ofNetConnectGermany gets new transportation capacity and new interconnection points to other market areas and border crossing points. The exit capacity also increase, thus encouraging the construction of new power plants and facilitating the entry and exit to existing and new natural gas storage facilities. There will be a significant rise in the transit capacity from Emden to Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
