Network access
As from 1 April 2011 our former market areas Thyssengas H-Gas and Thyssengas L-Gas form part of the cooperative market area of NetConnect Germany. In this way we are making a major contribution to the reduction of market areas in Germany.
Balancing group contracts can now only be concluded with NetConnect Germany GmbH & Co. KG.
This will provide a further stimulus for competition and boost cash flow within the German gas market. The system of high-pressure pipelines in the area which is now the biggest market area in Germany presently has a total length round about 20,000 kilometres, joining together more than 500 gas grids.
As a market area-wide network operator under our market area cooperation with NetConnect Germany, we are enabling you as a transmission system operator to transmit gas within our pipeline system. You can conclude entry and exit contracts with us and you can feed your booked capacities into the balancing groups listed within the NCG market area.
