Network tariffs
Thyssengas changes structure of network tariffs
As of January 1, 2012 Thyssengas will restructure transport capacity tariffs.
Thyssengas is reacting to the new market situation that arose after the market area cooperation with NetConnect Germany (NCG) that is characterized by reduced capacity bookings at entry points and the loss of the marketing of the earlier market area interconnection points.
The booking situation at the entry points is improved by lower tariffs. In this way we will address the negative development and avoid further increases of capacity tariffs at the exit points.
In detail, we will make the following adjustments:
- The transport capacity tariffs at entry points are slightly lowered.
- The capacity tariffs at storages remain unchanged.
- The capacity tariffs at exit points are clearly increased.
The restructuring of the network tariffs has no effect on the revenue cap approved by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). The restructuring does not change the approved total revenue of Thyssengas, only its distribution over individual network points.
The capacity tariffs for freely allocable capacities according to the following table are based on our best knowledge at this time and represent the capacity tariffs likely valid starting at January 1, 2012 (§ 20 Sec. 1 EnWG).

The network tariffs shown there are net tariffs and apply plus statutory value-added tax. They include all network tariffs incurred from the entry/exit point selected until the virtual point (VP) of the respective market area.

Thyssengas applied for approval of its tariffs in accordance with § 23a German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) with the Federal Network Agency on 17.12.2008. That application took place merely taking into account the immediate enforceability of the resolution of the Federal Network Agency of 20.10.2008 (BK4-07-106), against which Thyssengas has appealed.
